Standing Together. Supporting Safety. Spreading Awareness.
At JustPenny, we stand in solidarity with women affected by domestic abuse, and we believe that every woman has the right to live free from fear, violence, and control. While we do not offer direct intervention services ourselves, we are deeply committed to being a bridge to safety and support — connecting women with trusted, specialist organisations who can help them immediately and effectively.
What We Do
- Referral & Signposting:
We work closely with established domestic abuse services across the UK to refer cases with urgency, confidentiality, and care. Our team ensures that anyone who reaches out is connected to the right support, whether it be for emergency shelter, legal advocacy, counselling, or protection services. - Community Awareness & Education:
Prevention begins with awareness. That’s why we run community-based awareness programmes, including:- Motivational speaker events featuring survivors and advocates, focused on empowerment, resilience, and healing
- Information sessions in community centres, schools, and worship places, helping people understand the signs of abuse and how to safely seek help
- Distribution of culturally sensitive awareness leaflets and resources through trusted local spaces
- Multilingual materials, where possible, to ensure accessibility for all communities
- Community Trust-Building:
Many women, particularly from migrant, minority, or marginalised backgrounds, face barriers in speaking up. We strive to create a culture of trust, discretion, and compassion, so they feel safe asking for help — even if it’s just a first step.
Why It Matters
Domestic abuse doesn’t just happen in private, its effects ripple through families, communities, and generations. Many women suffer silently due to fear, stigma, or lack of awareness of their rights and options.
At JustPenny, our mission is to break the silence and build bridges to safety, support, and long-term recovery.
If You Need Help
If you or someone you know is experiencing abuse, we can guide you to the right specialist organisation, immediately and confidentially.
We are not a crisis service, but we are a safe starting point.
How You Can Help
- Host or attend our awareness events
- Partner with us if your organisation offers relevant support
- Distribute materials through your workplace, worship place, or local group
- Speak up and stand with survivors — together we break the silence
Together, we create a safer tomorrow, one voice, one referral, and one act of courage at a time.
